The ExSSA-USA Annual Convention, the highlight of the life of every ExSSA-USA member, occurs annually on the first weekend of August.

Members from all over the world come together to celebrate our alma mater, re-connect with old friends, make new ones, get updates on existing projects, and re-live our teenage lives. We also nurture and support one another, honor our deceased members and reflect on our mission and re-commit to our vision.

On Thursday, we kick off the convention with a meeting of the National Executive Board, where we access our achievements during the past year and outline activities that help us continue to meet our strategic objectives.

On Friday the General Assembly meeting of the members convenes. During this meeting the national President presents a 'state of the Association' overview of the organization's activities and provides a review of the year in terms of successes and challenges encountered. Saturday commences on a high note with family-friendly, fun-filled activities and concludes with a formal Dinner/Gala Fundraiser. This event is the nucleus of our convention where we appreciate and showcase our sponsors and donors, treat the audience to our signature musical concert by the ExSSA-USA national choir, dinner and dancing. We also raise funds for our projects.

On Sunday, all convention attendees worship in a pre-selected church, followed by a farewell Barbecue, where we all bid adieu to our friends and sisters until the following year.
