Owelle - Girls who seek for notice, they are owelleing (When girls seek notice, they expect to be seen. Owelle is a nya nya. There are many ways to seek for notice). Grayce Endeley and Nina Lima Tamanji are self-proclaimed Owelle Queens. Other popular names for owelles are "Show-Show and Porkomanjanor.

JJC - new students (jane just come).

Jar or Enam - illegally reading at night using a flash-light or sitting outside on a bucket under one of the big King, Armstrong or Witt house lights. The hazards of enam were mosquito bites, making sure Baba, Miss Binder or the night watch man (Mr. P) did not catch you. I dey go jar.

Inti or Luffer (Lover) - best and closest friends in Saker.

20 hungry - A dry spell in school when every one is bankrupt.

Move eye - A common warning during 20 hungry for the have-nots to stop looking hungrily at the possession of the haves. A particular junior student was subsequently named "Moving" because she was bold enough to tell a senior to move eye from her chin-chin or was it garri.

Foxes - Junior students in Form 1 and 2. Senior students were fond of summoning junior students by yelling out: "Foxes around" and of course, all of the junior students present were forced to respond: "Yes sister, we are around. How can we help you?" Even more embarrassing is when the senior students hazed the junior students by making them sing; "We are foxes and we have long tails."

Sister - Senior students (Form three to Form five)

Dulongs - Designated senior student mentors for junior form students (Form 3 and 5 students were mentors to form 1 students, whereas Form 4 students were mentors to form 2 students).

Petites - junior form mentees - Students in forms 1 and 3 were petites to designated form 5 students, whereas students in form 2 were petites to designated form 4 students.

Climbing the steps/Climbed the steps - Being promoted to form 4. In the old days, form 1-3 were in lower building, whereas form 4 and 5 were in the upper building (administration building). Being promoted to form 4 meant that you were privileged enough to climb the 18 steps leading to form 4.

Hand-over - The handing over of power by form 5 students to form 4 students at the end of their term.

Palaver letter - Receiving a letter from someone whose name is not on your designated parent -approved mailing list with the school. In other words, letters from so-called boyfriends, secret admirers, etc, were not allowed. Palaver letters are opened, read, confiscate and sent to your parents by the Vice Principal (Miss Binder, take note).

Pork - to have a serious and congestive cold. When you coughed, everyone shouted pork, pork, are we safe??? In other words, go spit out that phlegm.

Suppose - Students who repeated a class. In other words, they were supposed to be in form 3, but they repeated a class and are consequently 1 or 2 classes behind the students with whom they started Saker together with.

Siberia - the school farm

The Man - a legendary man believed to rape and assault Saker students. The Man was here last night. Did you see the Man?

Slap tabs - to drink cold-water garri

Meincaf - old students in a class

Langamanjonor - someone who begs a lot - a perpetual beggar.

Belonger - Students who want to associate themselves with students from rich and/or well-known families.

Buchu - primitive people.

Congo - classified information (but be assured that it is not a river in Africa). Ladies reserve the right to have certain secrets.

Kontomanjonor - Stingy person

Mbondo - Buttocks

Sugar-Sugar - vaginal yeast infection.

Annex - Saker toilet building.

Kitchen girls - Form 2 students whose morning chore was to help in the Saker kitchen.

Saker cat - A husband of a Sakerette. In other words, the lucky cat who caught a Saker-rat.

Saker baby - A kid/child of a Sakerette.

Okyo - Witchcraft , a person who saps the brains of others.

Mammaries - Breasts

Floor Members - Members of the Senior Class who are not prefects.
